Project Objectives/Components

Assessed the cost and feasibility of various mixes of technology to implement a real property registration system.

Project Tasks

• Examined the investment plan for the national registry system
• Assessed the institutional structures needed to support a well functioning property registration system
• Assessed the most appropriate boundary demarcation system (fixed vs. general) for adoption under a large scale cadastral survey and mapping program
• Assessed whether the existing survey and mapping methodologies are sufficient for mass scale campaigns and suggest alternative methods of data collection
• Analyzed current parcel transaction volumes
• Updated the investment plan for the IBRD financing underpinning a national registry system.
