Project Objectives/Components

  • Review of existing surveying and GIS /mapping capabilities and technologies in Ukraine and provision of recommendations of possible areas of support from USAID.
  • To develop a work plan and cost model for the use of GPS and satellite mapping technology pilot project.
  • Development of a cost model for a national survey and mapping program.

Project Tasks

  • Review existing inventory of surveying and mapping equipment.
  • Review and quantify existing map data, including analysis of quality and state of cadastral data.
  • Prepare evaluation of new technologies such as GPS and digital ortho photos.
  • Prepare cost models comparing traditional versus GPS /Satellite mapping modes of surveying newly formed real estate.
  • Research available satellite imagery for pilot project.
